vehicles, their safety and mechanical problems. As a former owner of a 1998 Kia Sephia, I couldn't get rid of it fast enough and only had it for about 3 months. I took an $8,000.00 loss on it by trading it in on a real American made vehicle!!!
*Brakes making metal to metal noises when stopping.
*Popping sounds in the front end when braking.
*Automatic transmission slipping when shifting/fluid added twice.
*Very hard starting when tempature gets cold/cranks excessively.
*After starting, the engine will frequintly just quit running.
*One of my headlights wouldn't come on until I put the car into gear.
*Vibration in the front end all of the time.
*Hood wouldn't close tightly and rattled when driving.
*Glove box release was loose and almost falling off/dealer wouldn't fix
*Engine surges when stopped and causes car to lunge forward,
even with brakes applied
*Sometimes the shifter button on the gearshift wouldn't release when in park.
(A Kia mechanic advised me to carry a screwdriver and instructed me how to
correct this common problem when it happens.)
*Loud clicking sounds coming from inside of the shifter console.
