"TRANSITION OF LIFE" Nine months of preparation it takes us to be born Then from the womb we're pulled, and the cord of life is torn Our world of protection, the security we once had Has left us now and it's all but gone, except for mom and dad The parents job has just begun, they must teach us all they know For every day we live and learn, as the mind and body grow The body only grows so much, until it's fully grown But the mind keeps growing and never stops by learning knowledge we've never known The one thing that we learn in life, the only thing of which we're sure Is that from the time of birth we experiance this thing called life, for which there is no cure We have all been placed upon this world and we have all asked the question why? The answer is to experiance life and death, for each and every one of us will surely live and die But we have nothing to fear from death itself, only the fear of not knowing For none of us can truly say what it will be like, or where we'll be going It must be harder to be born, than it is for us to die Facts are facts, and truth is truth, and they cannot tell a lie It takes nine months for us to be born into our earthly position But only one second for us to pass, into our final transition. |

"ROBIN HOOD" I shot an arrow through the air, toward the apple upon John's head But the arrow missed the apple and struck poor John instead Now John was a brave man and big in size, too bad about that arrow right between the eyes The headstone upon the grave of John, reads something just like this "If ever you should decide to let anyone shoot an apple off of your head Just remember that the archer might miss, and if he does, you'll be dead!". Rest in peace, Little John |

"THE DOOR" Before me stood a magic door, like nothing I've ever seen before There was no wall or building there, just a door, standing in the air I stood there for a moment or two, wondering and asking myself, what should I do? Is there something behind this door for me?, I must open it, and then I'll see I opened the door to look behind, but it was too dark, like being blind I must step inside if I am to know, and as I did there came a glow This glow came down from the sky, but was much too bright for the normal eye I turned and started for the door, but I must stay, there might be more Then came a voice which said to me, "don't be scared, for you are free Turn and look at me my son, and you shall see that we are one" As I turned slowly toward the voice, I knew that I had made the right choice For it was God who I could see, and now the glow came forth from me It was His kingdom behind the door, and where I'll be for ever more Our souls have joined and now are one, my eternal life has just begun It was the earthly life that I did part, but now I live within God's heart Please do not weep the death of me, for in God's heart, "we all are free". |

"NEW BUT USED" Its new to me but its really used, we live in a world with children abused Today there was a gasoline crunch, tomorrow someone will go without lunch You stand in line for things you need, or do you really?, maybe its greed Why must we be someone we're not, shouldn't we be happy with what we've got Some protest the building of a nuclear plant site, they march, pickett, and sometimes fight The religious movement will come to an end, when each of the faiths they must defend Everything this Earth has to give is free, why must we charge an outrageous fee? Will there ever be a cancer cure?, sit back, relax, and have another beer The government taxes everything we buy, sell, and own, thats why the people bitch and moan The oceans are polluted by some oil tanker spill, we turn down our thermostat and catch a chill The boat people were put adrift in the ocean to die, while millions of people didn't even bat an eye We must try to help and understand, the entire race of our fellow man The society we live in is winner take all, but sooner or later, that winner will fall Women are degraded by unwanted men, sometimes they're convicted and sent to the pen The endangered species of the Earth, have been fighting for survival since their day of birth We board a plane to fly somewhere, but the engine falls off in the air The violence I see on a television show, is nothing compared to the real life I know On Halloween, the children go trick or treat, how many will die from the candy they'll eat? Peace on this Earth shall never be, until we open our eyes and see The damage we've caused unto our own kind, it could bring insanity to any mind In a day when everyone is separated by race, maybe we'll destroy ourselves beyond a trace There's only one thing that I know to do, and thats to turn to God, and start over new The Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away, let us now bow our heads in forgiveness and pray. |

"FEAR" Although I fear death, I fear life even more For life has taken all I've got, and left me ragged and sore I have tasted life, it's taste is sweet to some It's taste to me is bitter, so I wait for death to come I have but yet to taste the kiss of death, but I won't have long to wait For I feel it's cold, cold breath, listen? do you hear? I need not wait no more, I hear death's knock, and it's knocking at my door! |
